DO AFRICAN AMERICANS NEED COUNSELING

I remember  in 1980, i visted the observatory at Greenwich, England with Paul Barrett (God rest his soul, he passed recently.) The Royal Observatory Greenwich is the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the World. It is also home to London's only planetarium, the Harrison timekeepers and the UK's largest refracting telescope.

Paul and I  had to walk up a long slighly inclined road from the Thames Ferry.  There were a dozen Bobbys, with their traditional helmuts and dark blue uniforms, huddled near the front entrance to the Museum. Paul and I distinctly heard the guards muttering "here come a bunch of Paddys."  Unffortunately , We were wearing tweed jackets and greenish brown herringbone tweed Irish flat caps.  You know, it is like a Hoodie. 

We chuckled.  Two of the bobbys followed us throughout the entire visit in the Museum.

Paul and I craved the attention.

I have confessed often that i am a racist.  I do believe that the Irish culture is superior to all other cultures.  I also know that many, many African Americans have been accused of being racists.

You would think that they would be proud of being African American considering the enormous accomplishments of blacks in every field of endeavor.

But Obama, according to his comments below, can't shake off being black. Enen though he said:  "Once you go black, you never go back."  Perhaps the blacks need counseling rather than reparations.
